Xiaomi 15 Ultra Launch Tipped to be in February 2025

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the top-end variant in the Xiaomi 15 lineup that also includes the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.

The base and Pro variants were released in the home country while the manufacturer opted for a later launch date for the Ultra smartphone. A recent leak now hints at the possible launch timeframe of the handset.

According to a Weibo post by President and General Manager Lu Weibing, the 15 Ultra is slated for a launch next year. In connection with this, tipster Digital Chat Station has posted on the same platform that the release is slated to take place in February 2025. It is worth noting that the same tipster had earlier mentioned that the launch would not happen in January as expected but would be delayed.

Expected Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications

In the same post, the tipster shared some specifications of the smartphone that have also been cited earlier.

The 15 Ultra will have a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED micro-curved display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There will be an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.

Under the hood, the handset will incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It will run on Android 15 layered with the manufacturer’s HyperOS 2.0.

For its cameras, the 15 Ultra will encompass four cameras arranged on a circular island. Three snappers will each have a resolution of 50 MP while the periscope telephoto camera will support a resolution of 200 MP.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will draw its juice from a huge 6,000 mAh battery. This battery will feature two charging options 90 W wired charging and 80 W wireless charging.

The smartphone will support three finish options for the rear panel comprising ceramic, glass, and plain leather.
