The impending launch of the high-end flagship smartphone Xiaomi 15 Ultra in the Xiaomi 15 lineup will take place early next year.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra handset will incorporate a prominent camera module featuring a primary shooter and two telephoto shooters apart from portraying flagship specifications.
Going by earlier reports, the Ultra variant in the series will sport a main camera with a 50 MP resolution, a f/1.6 aperture, and a focal length of 23 mm. One of the two telephoto lenses will encompass a large sensor with a 200 MP resolution, a f/2.6 aperture, a focal length of 100 mm, and a 4.3x optical zoom. A new leak now shares some insights about the second telephoto sensor.
Telephoto Sensor Details
According to a Weibo post by Digital Chat Station, the second telephoto sensor in the 15 Ultra will be the Sony IMX858 incorporated in the earlier Xiaomi 14 Ultra with the same 1/2.51-inch sensor size and f/1.8 aperture. The only deviation will be that there is a small dip in the focal length from 75 mm to 70 mm.

The tipster additionally mentions that the smartphone will deliver an enhanced photography experience by means of a new camera kit. Apart from the main shooter and dual telephoto cameras, the handset will feature an ultra-wide sensor with a 50 MP resolution.
Other Expected Specifications
The smartphone will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor along with a large 6,000 mAh battery that supports 80 W wireless charging and 90 W wired charging. It will come with Android 15 layered with the manufacturer’s HyperOS 2.0 out of the box. On the display front, the handset will encompass a LTPO OLED 6.7-inch panel with micro-curved edges and a refresh rate of 120 Hz as well as an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is slated to support three material finish options – fiberglass, plain leather, and ceramic.
