Xiaomi 16 Series Phones to Have the Biggest Battery for a 6.3-Inch Display

Xiaomi 15 Ultra

Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming Xiaomi 16 series, comprising the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro.

An earlier leak has pointed out that the Xiaomi 16 series smartphones will be the first handsets to house the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor under their hoods.

Now, another leak has started doing the rounds, giving additional details about the Xiaomi 16. The post by tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the smartphone will encompass a small, flat 6.3-inch OLED panel. The screen will also offer eye protection.

While the battery size has not been revealed, the leak also hints that the handset will have the largest battery when compared to other handsets with a display of the same size. A past leak hints that this battery will have a capacity of 7,000 mAh.

The smartphone will have a thin and light body with narrow bezels on all sides. It will run on Android 16, topped with the manufacturer’s HyperOS 3.0 UI.

There will be three cameras on the back. Two of them, including the main camera, will have a resolution of 50 MP.  However, the smartphone will have only one periscope camera instead of two like the Xiaomi 15.

No other details about the series are available at the moment. The highlighted details have also not been confirmed by the manufacturer and hence they may also change in the course of time.

The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro of the Xiaomi 15 lineup broke cover last year, while the 15 Ultra saw the light of day at a later date in February 2025. The manufacturer may adopt the same strategy when it sets the stage for the Xiaomi 16 lineup and launches the 16 and 16 Pro before the 16 Ultra.
