2017 Apple iPhone May Feature a Red Color Variant, No Wireless Charging and Glass Chassis

2017 Apple iPhone

The 2017 Apple iPhone may be coming in with a number of surprises that will for sure make fans happy after a long period of no innovation from the Cupertino giant.

According to the latest reports, the 2017 Apple iPhone may debut a red color variant. This news comes from a trusted source from Japan – Macotakara, however, the publication does not mention the main source of this information, which makes it another major speculation. But based on the reputation of the site, it is possible that such a change could be in the making.

2017 Apple iPhone

It gets even more interesting as the publication goes ahead to claim that 2017 Apple iPhone will not be iPhone 8 as some rumors have claimed, rather, the company will continue with its naming style, with the S models expected to debut with the red color variant. In short, expect Apple to release iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.

Latest reports have claimed that the 2017 Apple iPhone 7S and 7S Plus will debut a new all-glass design so as to give room for the introduction of wireless charging. But Macotakara is reporting otherwise, claiming that none of these features – wireless charging and a glass chassis – will be available on the upcoming iPhone. If anything, the only major addition to the upcoming 2017 Apple iPhone is the new A11 chipset.

2017 iPhone No Wireless Charging

As noted earlier, this report comes from an unconfirmed source, but given that it is being reported by the ever-reliable Macotakara, it is easy to believe most or even all of it. Nonetheless, what is highly likely to happen with the 2017 Apple iPhone is the red color variant, especially since the tech giant already partners with the RED organization in fighting HIV & AIDS. The company has also had some of its devices covered in red color, for instance, Apple Watch bands, iPod touch as well as a bunch of iPhone and iPad cases.
