The launch edition for the car was announced just a week ago. This week, the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF non-launch edition and other cars in the lineup has been announced.
The price for the base model starts at $32,390.
The pricing includes destination delivery charges of $895 and it will be available in stores in 2017. The standard RF edition of the MX-5 will be available in a Grand Touring and a Club trimline, each with its own specific set of features and bundled packages. The six speed manual gearbox edition is priced at $32,390 while the six speed automatic gearbox will set you back by $33, 120. Buyers have the option to upgrade the manual edition with powerful Brembo brakes and large BBS wheel package. The cost of the bundle is $3,400.
Next in the lineup is the RF Grand Touring trim priced at $33,445 while the one with an automatic transmission is priced at $34,660. A lot of minor but useful add-ons are being offered by the manufacturer. If you spend $130, the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF can be upgraded with a keyless entry. The automatic gearbox models had the feature by default and it is not required to spend that extra cash.
Special color variants are offered by the auto brand and these premium paint jobs are priced at $300 each. The available options include machine gray metallic, soul red metallic and a cheaper option would be the crystal white pearl mica at $200. On the inside, the dashboard is equipped with a large 7-inch touchscreen display used to control the infotainment system. Another 4.6-inch TFT display is used to display essential information. Safety features found in the model includes blind spot monitoring system and rear cross traffic alert.
Superior comfort is ensured for passengers onboard with cloth seats. They are all red combined with a Bilstein suspension and limited slip differential. The Grand Touring model however has some elite features including leather seats, high beam control, lane departure warning and adaptive headlights.
While the launch edition is limited to just 1,000 cars, the non-launch RF cars will be produced continuously to cater to the needs of buyers. People can wait for the model to roll out to the stores before they purchase them. A major share of the launch edition is sold out. However, 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF launch edition are still available and those can be purchased through the manufacturer.
