The 2017 SEAT Arona Crossover was supposed to be a summer launch by the official manufacturer.
However, photos of the car has leaked online ahead of the reveal along with some specification information.
The images were leaked by a SEAT website that operates from Germany. They were made available on their Facebook page which confirmed that the Arona is a crossover which borrows a lot of design elements from the Ibiza SUV and is also much larger on par with the Ateca. The front fascia of the model is pretty much the same as the SEAT supermini. It features a triangular headlight and the line runs along the car throughout the doors and the window line to touch the rear end.
While the front looks like the supermini, the rear end of the 2017 SEAT Arona crossover is once again like the Ateca with its tailgate and taillight design. It is not something buyers would say no to especially with the success the earlier model witnessed in the automobile market. The car was first announced at the 2016 Paris auto show and it was particular designed to compete with Nissan Juke and the Renault Captur.
Being the latest model it is, the Arona is equipped with a lot of useful features including support for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The model has plenty of connectivity options so that you can charge your smartphone, laptop as well as play media from your favorite device. The cabin design is largely unchanged and is the same as the outgoing model. The spy shots show some parts of the disguised making it difficult to identify the design changes but it is safe to assume that they are not drastic and will fall in place with what customers have come to expect in a SEAT car.
While the car’s looks and overall design changes can be spotted in the particular image released by the SEAT website, the specifications of the model remain under wraps. There is no information on what type of powertrain the manufacturers plan to use. It could very well be on par with the existing model so as to keep the pricing of the car at affordable range. Besides, being a compact crossover it needs the best of mileage and performance in a single SUV that would deliver on all fronts to long running SEAT customers.
