2017 Suzuki Swift Spotted In Spy Pictures, Sports Stylish New Look

2017 Suzuki Swift

Suzuki is slowly but steadily taking baby steps in its compact car segment. The company has some successful launches including the Baleno and the new 2017 Swift with a sportier new look is in production.

Spy pictures of the 2017 Suzuki Swift emerged online giving us a good first look of the car. The model is camouflaged yet it is easy to find the design changes, especially the exterior modifications. This is not the first time that the test mule version of the 2017 Swift was captured. Similar photos emerged online which claimed that Suzuki is done with the initial stages and it is how the final version of the car is going to be.

The new batch of pictures confirmed that the 2017 Suzuki Swift is going for a drastic change. The shape of the car is very angular unlike the outgoing model while the shoulders are broader and the overall body has a broader stance. All these changes when combined together give a bold look for the Swift. Despite being a small car, it now looks bolder and has the potential to compete with the likes of a low end sedan.

Dale Wyatt, marketing director of Suzuki, UK earlier commented that he is keen on fixing the small car range. Instead of creating same models throughout the year, he wanted to change it rationally. The end result is the new 2017 Suzuki Swift which looks more expressive than it was and has an emotional appeal to its design.

Everything about the Swift is different. It has been made longer, wider and lower in order to achieve a practical car. “Lightness is what our main focus was and it makes driving fun. We have already learned a lot with the Baleno. The car made it easier to create the new Swift. It even shares some of its dynamics with its big brother,” said Wyatt.

While the 2017 Suzuki Swift is not getting launched until next year, we are glad to have seen how it looks with the help of these spy shots. It gives a good view of how the next gen model is going to look. The car has lost about 900 kilograms making it extremely lighter which leads to great fuel efficiency, better dynamics and control at varying speeds.

Apart from Swift, Suzuki is also working on a new Baleno and a Sport scheduled for 2018 launch. Both models will feature tweaked versions of engines being used in the current model.
