After making a lot of crossovers and compact SUVs, auto manufacturers are now turning towards their attention towards full sized SUVs.
The 2018 BMW X7 SUV spotted recently in spy photographs signifies the statement as the company is preparing to launch its model.
Large cars always offer the best level of comfort like no other which paved way for the success of Range Rover and Mercedes Benz GLS cars. The BMW model looked quite large or maybe we are so used to compact crossovers in the past few years that a full-sized SUV looks mammoth at this point. The test mule spotted in the road was obviously covered to the brim with camouflage material and it was really difficult to guess the design elements used in the SUV.
Despite the camouflage, the large size of the 2018 BMW X7 SUV was starkly visible along with the brand’s signature kidney grille. The spy shots captured a couple of months ago showcased a different X7 model which had a ballast that personified the car’s weight. However, being in the pre-production phase it is known that designers and engineers might make a lot of changes to their cars to balance performance before it hits production phase. The huge seven seater SUV is a dream come true for people who love to go on long trips with their group.
BMW is focusing on a wide range of audience with their new SUV. Apart from the United States, the car is targeted towards buyers living in the Middle East and China. While the former is known for going for large SUVs at all times and a favorable market for the Land Rover series, China is known for its huge population and large families. The automobile brand might find their best buyers in these new regions along with the United States.
The company has earlier stated that the BMW X7 is scheduled to get launched in 2018. The statement was made by Ian Robertson, who confirmed that the variant is still undergoing various phases before it goes into production. The car’s wheelbase is quite different when compared to the X5 and the team is planning to create an individual identity for the new launch.
So far, unofficial photos of the 2018 BMW X7 SUV was spotted but there is no word on its technical specification, pricing and availability. It is too early to expect these details and they should be available when BMW is ready to reveal them.
