A huge overhaul is underway and Vauxhall is relying big on their Corsa range of cars.
The upcoming 2019 model will be completely revamped and the idea is to make it appealing for the mainstream buyers.
With an ever-increasing competition in the market, the company has lost its sheen among people and wants to bring it back by offering a car they wouldn’t want to miss. The 2019 Vauxhall Corsa is being designedin association with the team behind the Peugeot 208 and the Citroen models. The production version of the car is almost complete and they are busy providing the final touches to it so that it can be debuted as planned next year.
According to the company’s statements, the car will be available for purchase in early 2019 which is still more than a year to go. Meanwhile, they will discuss about the specification upgrades, the performance and the exterior changes made to the model so as to distinguish it from competition. Yet, it still looks more like a reskinned version of the earlier edition of the supermini.
The 2019 Vauxhall Corsa may have its fair share of changes made but the crew behind the design and the powertrain development is highly confident that it is going to change the face of the automobile manufacturer permanently. The upcoming model is being built on CMP, common modular platform which is the latest platform on which all cars are being constructed upon like the Peugeot 208. Citroen C3 which got a launched a year ago is already outdated because it is not built on this newer chassis.
Like all other automobile manufacturer, Corsa is going to becomeelectric friendly. The PSA platform used to build the 2019 version will allow the automobile company to add in an electric motor in the near future if they like to. It will bring about a huge change and there are some options coming in as well. It is being suggested that the car will have three-door body and a five-door design for those who need extra space along with ample seating for large families.
The 2019 Vauxhall Corsa will be powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The power output will be range somewhere between 75 hp to 120 hp making it a family friendly, fuel efficient car. Powered by the PureTech Petrol engine, it will offer better acceleration and top speed compared to the outgoing model.
