Apple iPhone 14 is reportedly getting a design overhaul and is likely to feature the most-awaited punch-hole display.
A couple of days ahead of the iPhone 13 launch, Twitter was overloaded with iPhone 14 tweets, just for one reason. You might have guessed it right, the punch-hole style notch, as seen in renders shared by Jon Prosser.
It was not the first time when we heard about the major redesign in the iPhone 14. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said that the iPhone 14 will drop the big notch to fit the front camera inside a punch-hole cutout. Now, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, talked about the design overhaul in the iPhone 14.
According to Mark Gurman, there may be new entry-level and Pro models. Plus, users can expect a “complete redesign” for the iPhone 14 series. “The minor changes this year also mean that Apple’s engineers were working behind the scenes on bigger things that will take more time”, says Gurman.
This year’s iPhone 13 lineup didn’t bring a major redesign, though the company reduced the notch size, added the A15 chip, improved battery capacity, and cameras. However, there was no major upgrade in terms of design. Next year’s iPhone 14 could bring something, which Apple users were waiting for so long. Nearly, all the premium Android smartphones nowadays feature punch-hole display, but Apple, as usual, does implement in its own and a better way.
iPhone 14 Series
The 2022 Apple iPhone 14 lineup is rumored to ditch the iPhone mini and will bring the iPhone 14 Max. So, we can hope the iPhone 14 series would include – regular iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple has also been reportedly working to bring the under-display Touch ID. Ming-Chi Kuo believes that this feature will be implemented in the 2023’s Apple iPhone, and he’s not sure about the under-display Touch ID in Apple iPhone 14.
