Apple’s much anticipated next iPhone is said to have a 4-inch screen. The said probable screen size will be one of a kind since Apple’s earlier release of iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.
Earlier hearsays had it that the expected 4-inch display iPhone would be known as iPhone 6C. This was probably based on the sequence of the iPhone releases with the latest model being the iPhone 6S (Plus). According to the world’s largest carrier – China Mobile – roadmap revealed in December last year, the said 4-inch iPhone scheduled for March-April release is to be dubbed Apple iPhone 7C.
‘iPhone SE’ tipped to be the next iPhone
New reports have emerged claiming the next iPhone will be dubbed “iPhone SE”. If the claims turn out to be true, the expected new iPhone will be the first to have a model name without numerical digits ever since the evolution of iPhones back in 2007. The purported specs of the iPhone SE almost resemble the latest iPhone 6S’.
The iPhone SE is expected to have an A9 chipset with the powerful M9 co-processor. The 4-inch display is said to have a resolution of 1136 by 640 pixels with a density of 325ppi. While the device is said not to pack the 3D Touch display, word has it that Live Photos, Touch ID, NFC, Apple Pay amongst others will feature in the speculated iPhone SE.
The design of the anticipated Apple handset is rumored to be like iPhone 5S’. However, some leaked schematic diagrams of the purported device reveal that it resembles the latest Apple handset. Close sources to Apple’s top executives claim that the iPhone SE will be unveiled along with other devices next month on 15th.
At the said event, iPad Air 3 and other Apple wearables are also expected to be unveiled. With the current prevailing stiff competition in the mobile industry, word has it that Apple will make the iPhone more affordable. This is aimed at expanding its market by tapping regions that Apple’s products have not been embraced. Contradictory reports however claim that the device will maintain Apple’s “known” prices and specs that will satisfy its customers who are not fans of large displays.
