ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Certified by P3DN as Release Nears

ASUS ZenFone 4 Max

A while ago, the alleged ASUS ZenFone 4 Max appeared on benchmarking website GFXBench, giving us an insight into what we can expect when the Taiwanese company makes this new ZenFone 4 series available in the coming days.

At the time, the phone did not appear with the expected ASUS ZenFone 4 Max name tag, rather, it came carrying model number X00ID. Well, the same phone has also made a stop at Indonesia’s P3DN certification body with the same model number.

Unlike the GFXBench listing, the P3DN doesn’t give us any details of the phone’s specs or features, but it adds more weight to the rumor that the ZenFone 4 Max and the entire ZenFone 4 series is nearing release. Since the phone has also cleared the Wi-Fi Alliance and made a stop at the Bluetooth SIG, it’s indeed going to be released very soon.

As per the GFXBench listing, the ZenFone 4 Max will ship with a 5.5-inch display screen that features an HD resolution, an indicator that it will be an entry level phone. To add more weight to this statement is the fact that the benchmarks also confirmed a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430/435, which is also an entry level processor, alongside a decent RAM of 3GB.

The ZenFone 4 Max will ship with an internal storage of 32GB and software-wise, we know that Android 7.1.1 Nougat will run the show out of the box. If previous reports are to be believed, the ZenFone 4 series will be ready for release this July, but the specific date is not yet confirmed.
