Bell, Carphone Confirm Google Pixel and Pixel XL Heading to Canada and UK

Pixel and Pixel XL Phones

The Google Pixel and Pixel XL should be announced at a company event to be held this Tuesday in San Francisco, California.

Despite this confirmation, there are still more details coming from different parts of the world with respect to the two phones. After photos and specs of the alleged Google Pixel and Pixel XL showing up all over, Canada’s Bell and UK’s Carphone Warehouse have taken it upon themselves to inform the masses that the 2016 Pixel phones will be coming to the two countries very soon.

Of course, it seems none of these players did this intentionally, but it all happened by “mistake.” At Bell network, the carrier accidentally made a number of pages live on its website with details of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones. Apparently, one of these pages was meant to be for the returning Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but somehow, it ended up with a Google Pixel phone.

With this leak, Bell has just confirmed that indeed the upcoming phones will be called the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Furthermore, the carrier added sugar to the already sweet cake by showing off a white and silver version of the handset. Of course, this is not the first time the white version is appearing in leaked photos, however, it is the first time it is showing up in very clear photos.

At the same time, reports from Europe also confirm that at some point Carphone Warehouse had put up the Google Pixel and Pixel XL on its official website, but these have since been removed. Nonetheless, the fact that two major names in the smartphone industry have “accidentally” put up the two Pixel phones on their websites is enough to confirm that indeed the October 4th event will give birth to these flagships.
