Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Appears in Asia ahead of U.S. Launch

Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

A new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge color variant is about to hit local U.S. stores. While the phone was expected to start selling during the first week of November, it seems some folks in Asia are already ahead of the schedule.

Originally exclusive to the Galaxy Note 7, the blue coral color is now coming to the Galaxy S7 Edge, the smaller brother to the ill-fated Note 7. When the Note flagship was released, the demand for the blue coral color variant exceeded the supply, something that forced Samsung to start rescheduling shipping dates. However, some enthusiastic buyers never got their hands on this prestigious flagship as it was recalled even before it reached other markets.

With the Galaxy Note 7 now gone, Samsung thought it would be a wise thing to bring over some of the exclusive features of the phone to its closest relative, the Galaxy S7 Edge. Apparently, those in Malaysia, a country in Southeast Asia, can now buy a new coral blue color variant of the Galaxy S7 Edge. Reports say that the phone can be bought from the official Samsung Store in the country as well as The Garden, which is one of the nation’s largest shopping malls.

Other than Malaysia, the blue coral Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is also expected to be launched in Singapore as well as Taiwan, with the latter market expected to see the phone as from this week Tuesday while those in Singapore will follow a few days later.

When it launches, Samsung Singapore says that the blue coral Galaxy S7 Edge will be priced at a huge $1,098, but there is still no mention of whether Europe and the U.S. will be getting this phone. Nonetheless, previous leaks had suggested that this new color variant of the S7 Edge could come to the U.S. via Verizon Wireless. If released, this new blue coral color variant will join the likes of black onyx, silver titanium, gold platinum and pink gold.

According to Samsung, the new Galaxy S7 Edge variant comes with a refined design alongside powerful functionality and a cool blue hue. The phone keeps its beautiful 5.5-inch curved edge screen – a Super AMOLED panel with QHD resolution. You get the same specs as what is offered on the standard S7 Edge, among them an Exynos 8890, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.
