The game failed to match up to the kind of expectations the studio had for it.

Activision has just made an announcement about Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile not receiving fresh seasonal content and gameplay updates in the future. The studio has also confirmed that the game will be getting delisted soon. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile players, therefore, only have a few days to explore the game. After getting the game out of the way, Activision will channelize its energies towards propelling the growth of the console and PC versions of Call of Duty: Warzone forward.

When Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile officially launched on March 21, 2024, it gave gamers the opportunity to experience Call of Duty: Warzone while being on the move. The game generated a revenue of $1.6 million just four days after getting launched. In the following months, the constant flow of seasonal content and updates kept the players heavily invested in the game.

As 2025 arrived, one could feel that something had changed. The developers were releasing updates with much less frequency and there seemed to be a lesser interest in taking the game ahead. While Activision remained quiet for a long time, one started coming across murmurs on online communities about the studio losing interest in the game and thinking of pulling it down.

The official X account for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile rolled out a statement pertaining to the future of the game. Through this statement, the studio confirmed that the developers behind Warzone will stop releasing seasonal content and gameplay updates to the mobile game. The studio further stated that the game could not meet the expectations they had from it and that is the reason why they have decided to withdraw support for it.

All this, quite naturally, has not gone down well with those who enjoyed the experience of playing Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Players cannot buy COD Points or BlackCell content with real currency in the game. May 18 was the last day when one had the opportunity to download the game from the Google Play Store and App Store. Fans will also lose access to the social features of the game in the Android and iOS versions.

If a player has installed the game by or before May 18, they will still be able to explore the existing content in the game.
