When Cyberpunk 2077 was released in the year 2020, it got surrounded by countless controversies.
While many players pointed out the issues with its performance, bugs were discovered in the game as well. Because of this, the gaming publisher had to put all plans for the DLC on the back burner. Around the same time, CD Projekt embarked upon the process of getting the game fixed. After a long wait, one can finally expect the publisher to reveal Cyberpunk 2077’s new DLC expansion.
A couple of months ago, the key details pertaining to the plot of the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC got leaked. There was, however, no clarity on when it would get an official release. A few days ago, the publishers dropped a major hint about it through the official Twitter account of Cyberpunk 2077. Fans got quite excited when Varion, a popular German YouTuber, asked a question on this subject and received a reply from Cyberpunk 2077’s Twitter handle.
When the DLC got leaked, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the marketing for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC would start sometime in 2022. For more than a year now, the developing team had been working diligently toward resolving the many issues the game has been suffering from. The most recent patch for the game happened to be the 1.52 update and there have been reports about the company working towards releasing a 1.6 patch. Once the company gets done with its current responsibilities for Cyberpunk 2077, it will start working on The Witcher 4.
The inconveniences faced by players at the time of Cyberpunk 2077’s release did hamper the reputation of CD Projekt. Now, the publisher is trying its best to make fans happy. When it was released, the number of bugs or glitches was so high that it became almost impossible to make a list of them. CD Projekt Red has put together an elaborate roadmap to fix the issues with the game and hopes to make it glitch-free soon.
