Fresh Apple iPhone 8 Rumors Expose a Major Surprise

iPhone 8

The Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are approaching a month since they were first unveiled to the public early last month.

But rather than keep the attention on the new phones, the same has shifted to next year’s iPhone 8, a phone that will be used to mark the iPhone’s 10th anniversary in the market. With the company openly declaring that the major changes have been spared for the 2017 iPhone, many have deiced to hold back this year’s upgrade in favor of a better iPhone 8 in a year’s time.

There will be a new and innovative design waiting for you to add to the slight improvements that have come through the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. One of the expected changes is a shift from the full-metal design to an all-glass design, where the iPhone 8 is expected to feature a curved glass on both the front and back. Furthermore, the huge demand that the jet black iPhone 7 has attracted has opened Apple’s eyes, revealing to Cook and his team that consumers want phones that have glossy and shiny finishes to justify the huge price tags.

As a result, the tech giant will reportedly come in with an iPhone 8 that features a curved AMOLED display with 2.5D glass and a smooth, unblemished exterior that should also include a stainless steel chassis at the top. The bezels you see on the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be greatly eliminated, probably ending up with the much-rumored edge-to-edge display. This concurs with recent changes that Apple has pushed to the new phones, for instance, a pressure-sensitive home button and the elimination of the 3.5mm headphone jack. This move is basically aimed at getting Apple fans ready for the big changes coming with iPhone 8.

The home button adds a lot of bezel on the lower end of the iPhone 7. With the introduction of a pressure-sensitive button, it means this feature could easily find a new home under the display. This will eliminate the need for the bezels, thus reducing the form factor of the phone while at the same time keeping the same screen sizes.

  1. I’m going to wait another year before upgrading my iPhone 6 Plus. The new iPhone 7 just isn’t outwardly that different enough for me although it certainly has excellent internal enhancements as well as a new 256GB storage option. Still, I’ll wait for next year and see if that iPhone will be dramatically different appearance wise. Meanwhile, my current phone is fine for now.
