A large number of leaks relating to Samsung’s upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 series have been occurring over the last couple of months.
These leaks have shared details about the slated features and specifications along with the launch timeframe of the lineup comprising the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra.
A new leak that has just popped up shares a completely different stand on the processor that will be incorporated in the smartphones. The leak mentions that none of the S series flagships will be powered by the Exynos 2500 processor under their hoods as stated earlier.

There is no mention of what processor would be used although it is possible that the smartphones could have Snapdragon chipsets. The decision by Samsung towards this processor change is attributed to a 55% yield rate that is lower than expected in place of the targeted 70%.
The leak goes on to hint that Samsung is likely to introduce the Exynos 2500 processor in its Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and foldable smartphones. If this is true, this will be the first time the foldables have an Exynos processor and it could impact their sales because they have always incorporated Snapdragon processors.
Exynos 2500 Architecture
The Exynos 2500 processor is designed based on the 3nm process node from Samsung. The processor is anticipated to be better than the upcoming Dimensity 9400 processor from MediaTek and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset from Qualcomm. However, going by past experiences with Exynos processors, a variation in performance could be in the cards.
Samsung is anticipated to follow the same trend that it did in the recent past for the S series. The Galaxy 25 lineup will mostly have an early 2025 launch in either January or February. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 FE is likely to come out in April, which is an early release compared to the predecessor Galaxy S24 FE that launched at the end of September this year.
As the South Korean tech giant has not officially declared that it would not be using the Exynos 2500 processor, it is recommended that the above information like any rumor or leak is to be considered with a grain of salt.
