The Gionee A1 and A1 Plus are not new phones at all following their previous appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona last month.
However, the Indian market can only welcome the standard Gionee A1, with the Gionee A1 Plus nowhere to be seen thus far. Like a few other Chinese OEMs, the launched Gionee phone is selfie-centric, boasting a massive 16MP shooter on the front panel that boasts an aperture of f/2.0 and a selfie flash. You will also love the all-metal design of the phone that also comes with a fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes.
Coming down to the specs, the Gionee A1 has a 5.5-inch display screen that boasts an impressive 1080p resolution, giving the phone a pixel density of 401ppi. The processor under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P10 that is clocked at a speed of 1.8GHz and is paired with a massive 4GB RAM. In terms of storage, the Gionee A1 gets a decent package of 64GB< which can further be expanded via a microSD card of up 256GB.
To go along with the 16MP selfie shooter is a decent 13MP snapper on the back that is accompanied by phase detection autofocus and a LED flash. To keep the Gionee A1 alive is a monstrous 4010mAh battery unit that supports 18W fast charging technology. As for software, the phone has Android 7.0 Nougat running the show out of the box with an Amigo 4.0 UI running on top.
Being a 2017 smartphone, the Gionee A1 comes with the latest connectivity standards that include 4G LTE, dual-SIM as well as Bluetooth v4, among others. Despite its launch, fans of the phone can only start buying it as from March 31 and it will be available in gold, gray and black color variants. The price details will be made available as the release nears.
