Google+ 9.6 Gets Support for Adding Multiple Animated GIFs using Gboard

If you happen to be using another of Google’s attempt into the social networking company – Google+ – alongside the much popular Gboard, well this message is for you.

Apparently, the latest version 9.6 of Google+ app has received a nifty feature that users of should enjoy. The tech giant has enabled the ability to insert GIFs into your posts directly via the Gboard.

When busy typing a new Google+ post, you only need to hold down the Return button and you’ll immediately be switched to an emoji screen. Here, you should be able to see a GIF button right at the bottom of the page. This will let you search for a GIF of your choice and add it to your post in the app. It gets even better with the latest Google+ app for users can add multiple GIFs in a single post.

If you haven’t seen this nifty addition to your Google+ app, you probably haven’t updated to the latest version 9.6. It is already available for downloading via the Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can grab the APK file from trusted sites like XDA developers’ forum or APK Mirror, but be sure that you know how to install such a file on your phone.

It’s actually very simple. Once you get the file from APK Mirror, for instance, and try to install it on your phone, the device will warn you that this type of file may be harmful to your phone. Well, ignore this message and proceed by enabling installation from “Unknown” sites via your phone’s Security settings. This will allow your Android device to accept the APK file installation.

Still, you have the option to exercise some patience and wait for the latest Google+ 9.6 app to be uploaded to the Google Play Store so that you can just update the app like you’d do for other apps, especially since most Android devices come with Google+ preinstalled.
