Google is known for its efforts in the search engine world or rather, software world in general. However, many are set to know what the company can do when it comes to the smartphone or rather hardware world.

The search engine giant has its name in almost internet-based platform. However, little is known about what it can do when it comes to hardware. But this is about to change with the introduction of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones. Expected to be launched at an October 4th event, the Pixel and Pixel XL are successors to last year’s Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, respectively.

Now, to ensure that every potential customer is aware of its upcoming phones, the search engine giant is pouring money into advertising as it teases the launch of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones. It’s important to note that the ads have not been specific in any way, but the hints are all over. What is clear is that there is an event on 4th which will reveal something that is “made by Google.”

Google has already sent out media invites for the event, but there is no confirmation of what will be unveiled. Given that the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones are the two big things smartphone lovers are waiting from the company, all eyes are on Google not to disappoint. Google has an image of a phone enlarged to fit the size of a wall set as a billboard in New York City. The city has also witnessed a full-blown statue of the same phone with a “G” logo alongside a hashtag #MadeByGoogle.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL

It is not the first time Google has advertised its phones, but it is the first time the company has been this aggressive. In fact, there are reports that the Google Pixel and Pixel XL could be pushed to carriers, just like the case of Nexus 6. This could even further the chances of the phones outselling the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7, which are the trending phones at the moment.

According to the rumor mill, the Google Pixel will come with a 5-inch Full HD screen while the Pixel XL will carry a larger 5.5-inch AMOLED QHD screen. The two are said to come with the same hardware specs, including a Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage as well as 13MP and 8MP back and front cameras. There is also talk of the smaller Pixel coming in with a price tag of $649, but this is yet to be confirmed. Still, expect the newest version of Android Nougat on board the two Pixel phones.

The official details should be known on October 4 when the phones are launched. Are you excited about the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones?
