A good number of Google Pixel 2 owners will tell you how good a device the phone is. While there have been cases of people facing a myriad of issues, there are others who have had the best experiences using the Pixel 2.
If you among the latter, lucky you! But for those who had have issues with the Google Pixel 2, you’ve probably heard about Google plans to fix them in future software updates. One such issue is the annoying sound the Pixel 2 makes when making phone calls.
This is not something new. It was first reported a while back and at the time, Google only said it will be looking into the matter and provide a way forward. Well, the time has come and the company says that a fix will be rolling out in the “coming weeks” although there’s no mention of dates.
“Hey all, we’re rolling out a software update in the coming weeks which eliminates a faint buzzing sound on some Pixel 2 devices when the phone is placed to your ear during a phone call. Thanks.”
That’s how short Orrin, the Pixel User Community Manager, made the message, which is quite clear. We’ll keep an eye on the developments and probably update this post when the update starts rolling out.
