The Google Pixel 9a will arrive as a mid-range smartphone in the Pixel 10 lineup. The rumor mill has churned out various speculations about the handset.
A new leak hints specifically mentions the Google Pixel 9a battery details.
Bigger than Before
According to a recent online report, the Pixel 9a will be powered by a decently sized 5,000 mAh battery which is a significant upgrade over the 4,492 mAh battery in the predecessor Pixel 8a. The new battery is bigger than the earlier one by 11%, which is a huge leap as the increase in battery size is usually less than 5% and typically between 3% to 4%.

As the Pixel 8a came with satisfactory battery life, it is expected that the Google Pixel 9a battery life will be even better because of the bigger battery.
Other Expected Pixel 9a Specifications
The Pixel 9a is speculated to be powered by the manufacturer’s Tensor G4 processor under its hood along with 8 GB RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB storage. This processor is known to support more advanced AI features and be more power efficient as well apart from running Gemini Nano with Multimodality.
For the display, the smartphone is slated to encompass an Acuta display of 6.2 or 6.3 inches size. The display will be capable of supporting a refresh rate ranging from 60 Hz to 120 Hz.
In the camera department, the handset is reported to have a 48 MP main camera along with a 13 MP ultra-wide lens at the back and a 13 MP camera at the front.

The smartphone is expected to come in a size of 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9 mm without the camera bump and depict a weight of 186 g making it a couple of grams lighter than the earlier model.
The Pixel 9a is anticipated to be released a couple of months earlier than how the ‘a’ models are usually launched. It is expected that the handset will have a mid-March release in 2025.
