The HTC Desire 10 is coming on September 20 thanks to a video teaser that the company has posted on its official website.

While many had been looking forward to a Google Pixel phone showing up at the same event, it is highly unlikely. Instead, HTC will be coming in with its mid-range Desire 10 smartphone – a device that has been in the rumor mills for quite some time now. Apparently, the company is expected to reveal two variants of the HTC Desire 10 – a Pro version and a Lifestyle version. However, these have only been featured in leaks and HTC has remained coy about the same.

The budget-friendly HTC Desire 10, despite their class, will still come with a great array of hardware specs and features, including the best software possible. As you can see, the phone borrows its name from the flagship HTC 10, meaning that it comes in to complement the pricey model.

Even though HTC has not mentioned a thing in the video teasers, renowned leaker Evan Blass had pointed out earlier that the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will come with a 5.5-inch HD display screen with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution. The phone should also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but there are no details of which model will be used. The rear-facing camera will stand at 13MP, with the front probably getting a 5MP shooter.

A careful look at the videos teased reveals a metallic gold trim, a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone as well as a number 150, something that appears to be cryptic. Could it be the pricing? Well, it’s anyone’s guess. The hashtag #BeEdgier is all over, probably referring to the metallic edges used on the Desire 10.

Interestingly, HTC has opted to go online with the launch event, directing interested parties to its launch page for an event that is scheduled to begin at 3AM EST and 8AM BST.
