LG recently unveiled the LG K10 smartphone – a decent handset that supports VOLTE and Vo-WiFi over 4G LTE connectivity.
There is an even better feature-packed phone in the shape of Huawei Honor 5X and you will just love it when it comes to the design and pricing. One thing that is for sure is that these two phones are unique in their own ways and offer quite a different set of capabilities. But which one stands out on top of the other in terms of specs, features and pricing?
Specs and features of Huawei Honor 5X and LG K10
The Huawei Honor 5X has a huge screen size of 5.5-inches featuring Full HD IPS LCD technology. This phone is designed in a full metallic body and it includes a fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, the LG K10 has a screen size similar to the flagship LG G5, but comes with HD In Cell Touch screen technology and boasts a superior glossy pebble design.
Under the hood the LG K10 packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.2GHz. You can also come across a model with an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC clocked at a speed of 1.14GHz. Depending on the chipset on board, the LG K10 might come packed with an Adreno 306 or Mali-T720MP3 GPU and a RAM of 1GB or 1.5GB. Huawei Honor 5X, on the other hand, comes packed with an octa-core Snapdragon 616 chipset with four cores clocked at 1.2GHz and another four clocked at 1.5GHz. The phone also includes a better Adreno 405 GPU and has a massive RAM of 3GB, but some models have 2GB RAM.
As far as internal storage is concerned, the Huawei Honor 5X and LG K10 both have 16GB of onboard storage. However, the former has an upper hand as its expandable storage slot can accommodate a microSD card of up to 128GB as opposed to the 32GB that the LG K10 can manage.
Both phones come with a 13MP sensor on the rear with support for LED flash and autofocus. However, the Honor 5X has a larger aperture of f/2.0 as compared to the f/2.2 of the LG K10, which translates to better photos in low-lighting on the former as compared to the latter. On the front panel there are 5MP snappers on both phones with an aperture of f/2.4. However, the LG K10 may also feature an 8MP sensor on the front.
In terms of power, the Huawei Honor 5X also gets an upper hand thanks to its 3000mAh battery unit compared to the 2300mAh unit. Both phones are powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop, but there is room for updating to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As noted earlier, the Honor 5X has a fingerprint sensor, something that LG did not include on the K10. Despite missing one of the most essential smartphone standards of today, the LG K10 is priced higher at $370 compared to the $199.99 price tag of the Huawei Honor 5X.
