The Huawei Honor 6X is currently one of the best, if not the best device in the budget category. The phone, since its launch, has been elusive in a number of markets, but it is beginning to spread its wings gradually, with the latest market being Malaysia.
Here, the Honor 6X will be priced at RM 1,199 and so far, it can be found on Lazada store with an estimated delivery date of today, February 17th. The phone stands out in the budget class thanks to its dual-lens 12MP+2MP camera on the back, but this is not the only good thing about the phone.
The processing power is equally appealing, with a Kirin 655 octa-core doing the job alongside a RAM of either 3GB or 4GB. The storage is also available in two options of 32GB and 64GB, however, it seems those in Malaysia will only be able to grab the base model in gray color. Other specs of the Huawei Honor 6X include a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with a 2.5D curved glass on top, a metallic finish and a front camera of 8MP for selfies.
The software on board is Android Marshmallow, but an update to Android 7.0 Nougat will be out this coming month, with the beta already rolling out. To keep it alive is a 3340mAh battery unit that should take you through one and a half days with moderate usage. Lazada has something more if you pre-order the Huawei Honor 6X – you’ll receive an original Honor casing and turbine earphones as well as a hotel voucher worth RM 500.
This is, however, not the case for those in India, where the phone will be coming back starting February 23rd. The last sale for this phone took place just yesterday and as it appears, the Honor 6X is enjoying its debut in the country. The phone is still exclusive to Amazon India and keeps the same specs as the one in Malaysia, although Indians will be buying the high-end variant of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage as well. Where the low-end variant will be priced at Rs 12,999, the high-end model has a price tag of Rs 15,999.
Since the Huawei Honor 6X will be available on a flash sale, be sure to register for the event as well as be available on February 23 starting 2 PM local time.
