According to a new leak by a Chinese tipster, the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple will offer the iPhone 16e as the fifth and most recent smartphone in the iPhone 16 lineup.
This report follows earlier talks about the manufacturer’s plans to stop its iPhone SE models.
New Name for iPhone SE 4
Going by the post on the X platform by Fixed Focus Digital through the Chinese Weibo platform, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to have a new name.
The manufacturer will opt to rename the handset as iPhone 16e and drop the SE branding that was followed in the last three generations of the handsets released in 2016, 2020, and 2022.
Expected iPhone 16e Specifications
The handset will be sized like that of the base iPhone 16 variant. On the other hand, the smartphone will house a notch cutout on its top like the iPhone 14.

Going by an earlier report, the handset will draw its juice from a 3,279 mAh battery. The manufacturer will incorporate a camera with a resolution of 48 MP for the primary snapper.
