Apple iPhone 17 Air

Apple is actively working on its upcoming iPhone 17 series.

The lineup will, for the first time, do away with the Plus model and have a thin smartphone called the iPhone 17 Air in its place. There have been various reports about the lineup in the past. The recent leak talks about the displays of two handsets in the series.

iPhone 17, 17 Air Displays

According to the latest rumor, the iPhone 17 and 17 Air will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz for their displays. The Cupertino giant is known to reserve this high refresh rate for its Pro models, and it will be the first time that the standard variant in a series will have this refresh rate. However, the catch is that they will not support ProMotion display technology, while the Pro models offer support for both the high refresh rate and display technology. The 120 Hz refresh rate will help the handsets deliver a faster and smoother experience.

The Promotion Technology is essentially the smartphone’s ability to support a variable refresh rate, thereby allowing the handset to switch to a refresh rate of 1 Hz to 120 Hz. Moreover, displays with this technology feature advanced LTPO screens that enhance the battery life by reducing the refresh rate according to the content displayed.

The iPhone 17 Air will house the manufacturer’s upcoming A19 Pro processor under its hood. It will also be the first smartphone from the brand to include its in-house modem.
