The upcoming iQOO Z5x is tipped to feature MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC and 44W fast charging. It is likely to go official this month.
iQOO recently unveiled an affordable iQOO Z5 5G phone and the company is now reportedly gearing up to launch another mid-range 5G phone dubbed iQOO Z5x. Last week, the upcoming Z5x was spotted on the Chinese retailer website JD, suggesting an imminent launch, probably in October. The retailer listing didn’t reveal any details, but thanks to a Chinese tipster for revealing several key specifications.
According to the tipster that goes by the name Bald Panda, the upcoming phone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. He claims that the device supports 44W fast charging. Here, the Dimensity 900 SoC in Z5x suggests that it will be positioned lower than the Snapdragon 778G SoC-powered iQOO Z5, which was recently launched in India and China.
The iQOO Z5x reportedly carries the model number V2131A, which was recently spotted on Google Play Console and 3C certification websites. As per the Google Play Console listing, the Z5x may come with a punch-hole display with FullHD+ resolution and 480PPI pixel density. It has 8GB RAM but it will be offered in more RAM variants. Coming to the 3C listing, it reveals that the Vivo V2131A supports 44W fast charging.
As of now, iQOO has not broken its silence about the Z5x. Since the device has already been spotted on multiple certifications as well as on a Chinese retailer website, we can expect a launch announcement very soon. iQOO Z5 made its way to India within a couple of days after being launched in China, but there’s no clue as to whether the Z5x will make its way to India or not.
We’ll have more clarity on the availability and the specifications when the company starts teasing it.
