The next in the lineup, Moto Z2 Play has had a whole lot of leaked photographs and specifications in the recent past.
However, this time it comes from TENAA page and it is easily the most authentic leak that you could rely on before the official launch.
The Chinese mobile certification agency has released photos of the phone in multiple views, including its front, side and rear view giving buyers a very good idea of what the Moto Z2 Play would look like on launch date. The phone will be available in just two different colors, white and black with a weight pegged at 145 grams. It’s measurements are said to be 156 x 76 x 5.99mm. The original model lacked in colors but it is the black edition that works well for almost all smartphones out there.
A lot of similarities in terms of technical specifications exists with the Moto Z2 Play and the older Moto Z Play model. It features a 5.5-inch display combined with a brilliant looking OLED display and the familiar 1920 x 1080 resolution. It’s exactly the same as the outgoing model and a good choice because the resolution ensures the processor can operate at full capacity without showing any sign of lag. The rear end of the phone is dominated by a 12 megapixel camera. However, a disappointing change is that the phone now features a much smaller battery measured at 2,820 mAh.
The information is not official and Motorola may have a bigger battery or the new Qualcomm processor could offer much better screen on time. The phone will run on Android 7.1.1 operating system out of the box and being a Motorola phone, it is easy to say that it may get upgraded to Android O in the following months. The device has 64GB of onboard storage with 4GB of RAM allowing it to handle everyday processes with relative ease.
The battery size is speculated to be 3,000 mAh which is still less compared to the existing model. While Moto Z Play uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, the new Moto Z2 Play may run on 635 processor which is much higher in terms of connectivity, consumes low battery and is faster with improvements made to the cores. The phone looks average on the leaked photographs but when the official pictures are leaked, it should show its design aesthetics in a much better manner.
