A lot has already been said about the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, including the fact that they will be somehow boring, especially when looking at the design.
While this is happening, more rumors of the same phone are still showing up, with the latest showing off high-res photos of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus gold color variants. While the fact that the report also claims that Apple will include Rose Gold and Silver color variants, the most intriguing addition is the blue color variant.
This is not the first time news of a Deep Blue iPhone 7 color variant are is showing up. Sometimes earlier in the summer, the same story came up, but it was quashed away with suggestions that this was just another version of Space Gray. Nonetheless, the new report cements the fact that Apple will keep on with the gold color variants for this year’s iPhone 7, but as for the blue variant, the story is still unknown.
The leaked photos will give you a vague view of both the front and rear part of the phone, with some of the rumored features hard to confirm, for instance, the touch-capacitive home button that is rumored to be replacing the traditional physical home button. The rear of the phones confirm what has been going on through the rumor mills – that the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 7 will carry a slightly larger single-lens camera while the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will pack a dual-lens camera setup.
Some rumors have suggested that Apple will share some of the iPad Pro technology with the upcoming iPhone 7, namely the Smart Connector. However, these newly leaked photos do not show anything related to this feature, which was rumored to be coming with the larger variant, or perhaps a third variant known as iPhone 7 Pro. Still, the leaked photos only show details of two phones.
As for the design, the iPhone 7 looks very similar to the iPhone 6S, but we cannot confirm whether the phone will be coming without the 3.5mm headphone jack. The leaked photos only show the front and back panels, with no details of the sides shown. However, it is expected that Cupertino will drop this traditional jack in favor a Lightning connector.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at an event on September 7, with pre-orders beginning two days later. The phone should start shipping from September 16th.
