Nokia is indeed coming back to the mobile phone industry and it seems to be doing so with a bang. The main question that remains unanswered here is when this comeback will be staged and not if, but according to the latest leaks, it seems this date is just around the corner.
New reports have recently emerged regarding the upcoming Nokia phones, with claims that the company could launch at least four phones in the coming year. To back this claim up, China’s TENAA has just certified a phone with model number TA-1000 – a phone that is believed to be the much rumored Nokia E1.
Like expected, there is not much detail that the TENAA certification has revealed, but of course, there are a few things we can gather from the same. As noted above, there are rumors that the leaked TA-1000 could be the Nokia E1. The phone will come with support for 5V/2A charging, an indicator that there won’t be anything to do with fast charging technology. With this in mind, don’t expect the supposed Nokia E1 to come in with high-end specs or rather, it will be a midrange offering.
Despite being a midranger, the Nokia E1 will be powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. As for the processor, expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in any of the 200 series alongside a 1GB RAM. The internal storage could be capped at 16GB for the base model and microSD card support is also expected.
Other tipsters claim that the four or five phones that Nokia will be launching this year will have display screens that range from 5 to 5.7 inches, with the Nokia E1 featuring a 5.5-inch screen. Lovers of this brand can also expect to see a flagship offering hit the market in future, with the touted processor being the upcoming Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB RAM and a 23MP rear camera. The screen resolutions will also range from Full HD to QHD depending on the class of the phone with LG Display tipped to lead the way when it comes to supplying the screens for these Nokia phones.
Keep in mind that this list of specs is based on speculations and none of them has been confirmed just yet. But we should keep a close eye on the Nokia E1 developments as well as other Nokia phones and bring you the latest details possible. Keep following us!
