Sony recently confirmed its attendance with respect to the IFA 2016 event, and now Lenovo has made its confirmation as well.
The IFA 2016, just like any other similar event, will be held in Berlin, Germany beginning September 2. But as it has become a trend for tech firms when such events are closing in, Lenovo has revealed that it will be unveiling a new set of Moto Mods for the newly unveiled Moto Z and Moto Z Force flagships right before the main event begins.
According to the company, there will be a pre-IFA 2016 event held by Lenovo on August 30, 2016. In a video teaser released by the Chinese tech giant, this date will not just see new Moto Mods announced for the two Moto Z handsets, but there will also be other products being brought to the public’s eye.
In case you are still in the dark, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force were launched back in June. These two handsets are modular, meaning they have room for attaching other accessories to bring in new functionality or improve the current state. The Moto Mods connect to the Moto Z or Moto Z Force via a 16-pin connector that is located on the back of the handsets.
At the time of launch, the two handsets came in with a JBL SoundBoost speaker, a projector as well as a battery pack, all of which can be added to the phone using the magnetic pin at the back. There have been rumors of a camera module in the works, but whether this will be coming on this date is still a mystery.
As pointed out earlier, the Moto Z Mods will not be the only thing taking Lenovo to the IFA 2016. The company will also be looking to open a new chapter in tablets as well as unveil a new, intuitive keyboard, among other things. IFA 2016 will be here from September 2 to September 7, 2016.
