Lenovo Vibe C2 with 5-inch HD Display and Android 6.0 Marshmallow Unveiled

Lenovo has been busy in the recent days as it looks to catch up with the likes of Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, LeEco and a myriad of other Chinese OEMs that are taking over the smartphone world.

As if doing it unnoticed, the Chinese tech giant has unveiled a Lenovo Vibe C2 smartphone, but it seems this handset will be specific to certain regions. As for now, those in Russia can be sure of getting the handset once it is availed for purchase. This is because Lenovo has only unveiled the phone in this European country alone, furthermore, there are no details of its availability in other markets.

The details have emerged after the company listed the Lenovo Vibe C2 phone on its Russian website. But in addition to a lack of availability details, the company did not share the pricing details as well.

Nevertheless, we have a clue of what the Vibe C2 will pack when it is finally availed to the folks down in Russia, at least for now. Lenovo went for a decent 5-inch screen that packs an HD resolution of 720p. Under the hood, the Lenovo Vibe C2 comes with a decent quad-core processor that is clocked at a speed of 1.0GHz. This SoC is believed to be a MediaTek MT6735 chipset that is paired with a decent RAM of 2GB.

Buyers of the Vibe C2 will only be able to enjoy an onboard storage of 16GB, but this shouldn’t worry you as there is room for microSD card expansion. Despite posing as an entry-level handset, the Lenovo Vibe C2 comes with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a package that is only available on a little over 15.2% of all Android devices.

On the side of the camera, the new Lenovo Vibe C2 will feature an 8MP snapper on the back while the front part has a 5MP snapper. There is a LED flash on the back to aid with capturing of better photos when in dark environments. You also get support for 4G LTE, 3G as well as a huge 3500mAh battery, which should be a major selling point for the phone.
