LG G5 U.S. Release Date Set for Early April: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint on Board


LG G5 is a revolutionary smartphone that brings out the innovation abilities of the South Korean tech giant, especially when compared to its counterparts from Samsung and Apple.

Launched at the Mobile World Congress, this device surprised many with its unique design that kept the design language of the G series, but coming in with a removable bottom that also opens a world of other abilities for the G5.

If you have eagerly been waiting for LG to announce when the G5 will be coming to the United States, well, wait no more! With Samsung having already launched its Galaxy S7 flagship in the country, LG is aware that it is running out of time unless it is happy to let Samsung take up a larger of the market with its new flagships.

LG G5 comes with a group of “friends” or rather accessories, all of which will be coming to the country together with the smartphone at the beginning of next month. While it was rumored that the phone will be coming in March or April, we now have a confirmation that the device will be here beginning early April.

As mentioned, LG G5 will be coming along with a list of friends. These friends are made up of an LG-based VR headset, a small 360-degree camera as well as other accessories such as camera and hi-fi modules. LG has also included a Rolling Bot in the list of friends which is to be used when you want to keep an eye on your house and maybe charm your pets. But reports claim that this ball-shaped bot will not be around until this summer.

According to the latest coming from the Life’s Good crew, the new LG G5 smartphone will be available on quite a number of online stores among them Best Buy and B&H. There is nothing to worry about in case you want a carrier-based version as the G5 will also be available on platforms such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular.

While the date currently stands at “early April”, the company has promised to avail finder details of the LG G5 availability and pricing “in the coming weeks.”

Other than the much talked-about modular design, the new LG G5 also comes with top-notch hardware that includes the latest Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB RAM, two cameras on the rear (16MP and 8MP), with the latter capable of taking 135-degree shots as well as onboard storage of 32GB, which can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 200GB.
