Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge vs OnePlus 3T

Thanksgiving week is here to kick off the holiday season that is going to be filled with a lot of giving gifts to loved ones from all over.

If you want to get a new smartphone as a gift to your loved one, we have your back. The market is wide and can be confusing when it comes to choosing the best smartphones, but give that the year is almost over and many OEMs are basically done with rolling out 2016 flagships, we have lined up for you some of the best deals you can get around for the best Android phones in the market right now, led by the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and OnePlus 3T.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Even though months old, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is still a beauty you wouldn’t want to miss on. Featuring a premium glass and metal design, Galaxy S7 Edge also comes with a dual-edge display with a room of 5.5 inches. The Super AMOLED panel has QHD resolution and Always On display. The downside of the phone may come on the software side as the usual TouchWiz is still there, however, Samsung has done its best to optimize the software such that it works smoothly with the best hardware in 2016. These include a Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a storage of 32GB with support for microSD card storage. The phone has a 12MP sensor on the back and a 5MP sensor on the front. One of the major highlights of the Galaxy S7 Edge is the IP68 dust and water resistance certification. It means you can get wet with the phone without any worries.

At Amazon, you can grab an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for just $599.99.

LG V20

Available for about $700 as an unlocked version or $672 via Verizon, the LG V20 is the best phablet you can have right now. The phone has a screen size of 5.7 inches and it fits the bill for many. The huge screen has a QHD resolution and under the hood, the LG V20 packs very powerful hardware – a Snapdragon 820, 4B RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Like the G5, the LG V20 also gets a dual-lens camera on the back featuring 16MP and 8MP sensors. You will love listening music from the V20 thanks to its inbuilt 32-bit HiFi DAC – the only smartphone that supports this audio technology.

Pixel XL vs LG V20

Unlike other flagships, LG V20 keeps the removable battery and it is still decent at 3200mAh. You also get all the goodies you can expect from a flagship handset and a successor to the great LG V10.

OnePlus 3T

The OnePlus 3T is by far the best deal on the market right now. Although still young, the Chinese company has a great taste when it comes to material and design language. The phone looks sleek, but it gets even better when inside the handset. There is the newer Snapdragon 821 SoC alongside a huge RAM of 6GB and 64GB/128GB of storage. The battery is at 3400mAh and supports fast charging technology. Like OnePlus 3, the new 3T has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD resolution, same as iPhone 7 Plus.

There is a lens of 16MP on both primary and secondary cameras, making the phone one of the best in the department. However, the price will blow you out as the OEM values it at just $439 or $479 for the high-end model.

Google Pixel

Google released two phones – Pixel and Pixel XL. Well, the larger Pixel XL is the better of the two, but the smaller Pixel isn’t a bad idea for giving out as a quality gift to a loved one. The phone has a small AMOLED screen of 5 inches, but this gets a Full HD resolution. With a price of $649, you will love the power under the hood of this phone. The newer Snapdragon 821 powers it alongside a RAM of 4GB and is paired with 32GB of non-expandable storage.

Google Pixel XL and OnePlus 3T

The software experience is amazing given that it has been customized to work and operate as a Google product. There are exclusive features such as the Google Assistant, 24/7 customer support and unlimited cloud storage for photos and videos. Speaking of which, the Google Pixel gets a 12MP snapper on the back and a capable 8MP selfie sensor, but there is no OIS on the main camera – only EIS.

If you are willing to impress your loved one even further, the Google Pixel XL is an even better deal. The phone gets a larger screen of 5.5 inches and QHD resolution, however, the rest of the story remains the same. As for the price, the larger Pixel XL starts at $769 for the 32GB model.
