Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the current talk of the town, something that is actually leaving other smartphone OEMs feeling a little awkward at their existence in the industry.
With the Galaxy Note 7, it is possible that many will even forget about the greatness of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which were released a few months ago. Samsung is also hopeful that this phablet will occupy the minds of a good number of smartphone buyers for the next few months, at least until the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge are here.
Just recently, a report came out suggesting that T-Mobile is planning to discount the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge just so as to create room for the upcoming Galaxy Note 7, which has yet to be released officially following its August 2 launch. This shows how hopes are high that the Note 7 will be a huge success, but the story is not as good for competitors as it means their products’ sales will be stifled. It is no wonder Taiwanese tech giant HTC has decided to throw in an enticing offer of its own with respect to the flagship HTC 10, just so as to make more sales before the Note 7 takes over the smartphone world.
If you are in the market for a new phone, you may want to check out the HTC 10 offer that includes a pair of JBL Reflect Aware C headphones, which usually cost $199.95, for free. As usual with such sweet deals, this one is not here to stay. It will only be here while stock last or until August 31, whichever comes first. Apparently, the JBL Reflect Aware C headphones are the best for those who enjoy workouts when listening to music because they are sweat-proof. They also use a USB Type-C connector to connect to the HTC 10 rather than the usual 3.5mm headphone jack.
There is even more coming from HTC. If you get the same HTC 10 from its own web store, you also get an extra $100 in credit, which you can use to get any other HTC accessory sold on the company’s site.
The HTC 10 has a current price tag of $699. It packs a 5.2-inch QHD display screen with 2560 by 1440 pixels resolution. Under the hood, you get the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB RAM. There is 32GB of expandable storage and the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, but the company has promised an early Android Nougat update, probably before the end of this year.
