Xiaomi is growing its footprint in the Indian market and just recently, it launched the new Redmi Note 4, which is already selling in the country in gray and gold color variants.
Starting March 1, however, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 buyers can get the phone in a third color variant – the premium matte black that has made quite a name in the flagship family. The phone will be available through Flipkart or Mi.com, whichever pleases you.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has two variants in the market, but only one is available in India. If the recently-launched Redmi Note 4X is added to the list, the count comes to three Redmi Note 4 variants. Where the first variant that launched in China was powered by a MediaTek processor, the model that came to India in January has a Snapdragon processor on board. In essence, this is the same model that has been launched in China as the Note 4X.
There are three RAM options available as well as two storage options. The 32GB storage variant can be bought in two RAM variants of 2GB or 3GB. As for the high-end 64GB model, it is only available with 4GB RAM. Going around to the back of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 reveals a 13MP camera with a LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and PDAF as well. As for the front part, you get a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
As for the display screen, the Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5-inch LCD panel that packs a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) alongside a pixel density of 401ppi. There is no mention of the Gorilla Glass technology, so you should be careful with how you handle the phone, otherwise, it will be full of scratches in no time.
In terms of software, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is powered by Android Marshmallow out of the box, although the update to Android 7.0 Nougat should be released later in the year. To keep the phone alive, you get the same 4100mAh battery that appears on the gray and gold color variants. The price should remain unchanged at Rs 9,999 for the entry-level model.
