Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL Discounted by Up to $150 – Looming Surface Phone Release?

Lumia 950 and 950 XL

Ever since the launch of Windows 10 Mobile, a very small number of handsets has been availed to the public.

There have been talks of a Microsoft Surface Phone in development, a flagship handset that is expected to take over from the likes of Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. However, the speculations have further added that the phone could wait until early 2017 before it is finally released to the public. Now, there are some huge signs that Microsoft could be planning to unveil another flagship handset to take over from the current Lumia handsets.

Usually, smartphone OEMs and retailers will start discounting their products when a newer model (s) is looming. At the moment, there is no word of a new Microsoft Lumia 950 or 950 XL replacement, but as noted earlier, the talk has been leaning towards a Microsoft Surface Phone. In line with this rumor, the Redmond Company is now offering a huge discount on its current flagship handsets, something that has become common in the recent past.

Launched at a price of $549, the Lumia 950 is now selling at just $399. This is a discount of $150, a figure that anyone should be happy to keep in their wallet. The story is the same for the high-end Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, which was launched at a price of $649 and now it’s selling for $499. These deals will give you an unlocked variant of either model.

If you feel the price tag is still a little high for you, Microsoft has an even better deal for those who prefer to work with AT&T carrier. For just $298.99, you can get a new Microsoft Lumia 950 black color variant without any contract. The deals don’t end with the flagship handsets, but there is also something for the low-end family. The Lumia 650 Dual SIM variant can now be bought at a discount of $50, meaning you only part with $149 for the unlocked variant.

The two Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagships are less than a year old and they come preinstalled with the latest Windows 10 Mobile.
