Motorola Edge 50 Neo, ThinkPhone 25, and Moto S50 Spotted on HDR10+ Certification Website

Motorola appears to be working on several smartphones and recently teased the launch of the Moto S50 in China.

These smartphones, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, and the ThinkPhone 25 have been spotted on the HDR10+ Certification website.

The HDR10+ Certification Listings do not provide details about the specifications of the smartphones. The only information available is their monikers and support for HDR10+, an advanced version of the standard HDR. This will allow users to enjoy lifelike visuals on video streaming apps like Prime Video and Netflix.

Motorola Moto S50

The Moto S50 may arrive in the global market with a different name, Motorola Edge 50 Neo. The Edge 50 Neo was spotted on China’s MIIT certification website with its color options and design specifications. On the other hand, the Geekbench listing of the handset indicated the inclusion of 8 GB RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset.

Motorola ThinkPhone 25

The manufacturer’s ThinkPhone 25 was also listed on Geekbench, and it had the same RAM and processor as the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. However, while the former smartphone scored 1055 and 3060 in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively, the score for the single-core and multi-core tests for the latter smartphone ranked at 1039 and 2833.

Both smartphones have the same codename Vienna on Geekbench hinting that the ThinkPhone could arrive as a rebranded Edge 50 Neo in at least a few markets. There are also talks that the Edge 50 Neo could be rebadged under the Lenovo brand.

It is also said that Moto Edge 50 Neo smartphone was listed on a European retailer’s website with a 6.4-inch pOLED 120 Hz 1220 x 2670 pixels display and MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This is partly in line with the smartphone’s TENAA certification website which talks of a 6.36-inch OLED display supporting a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo has also been spotted on the BIS Certification website. The smartphone is speculated to house a 50 MP main camera, a 10 MP telephoto sensor and a 13 MP ultrawide camera at the back while there will be a 32 MP selfie camera in the front.
