Smartphone manufacturers follow a trend by pricing flagship devices at $700 or higher while any user has to spend at least $400 to get a mid-range experience.
With Motorola launching the new Moto G5S and the Moto G5S Plus in India today, all the norms had been broken.
Motorola has committed itself to break free of the shell whenever possible by creating phones with highest build quality, great specifications and continued Android updates ever since the Moto G got launched few years ago. The newly launched phones would make most buyers happy, especially if they live in India as they can purchase the phones right away. People in other regions can only hope that they can get their hands on this inexpensive $250 phone that sports the superb Snapdragon 625 processor that offers an efficient smartphone experience.
The Moto G5S Plus is the powerful device of the both which has a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and has 3,000 mAh battery. The device also sports a dual camera setup, two 13 megapixel cameras in the rear and an 8 megapixel snapper in the front for the usual selfies.

Made on metal body, the Moto G5S Plus is an easy pick out of the two because of its design and specifications. It’s younger brother, the Moto G5S is equally good yet lacks in some features and comes with an even cheaper price tag. The phone sports a smaller 5.2-inch 1080p display with a Snapdragon 430 processor and has a single 16 megapixel camera in the rear. It also has the same 4GB RAM but with a reduced 32GB of storage space. Both phones feature a micro SD card slot so that you can expand the memory when required.
Moto G5S which costs about $219 is available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color variants while the more powerful Moto G5S Plus costs $250 which is an extremely cheap price tag considering the specifications of the phone. It not only sports a mid-range, reliable processor from Qualcomm but also has a dual camera setup. The pricing wouldn’t break the bank of even the most constrained buyer making it an immediate choice for students and people looking to buy a branded smartphone that gets the job done.
The new Motorola phones will be sold exclusively through Amazon India. There is still no word on its launch in other regions.
