The popular US carrier T-Mobile has put up an interesting deal for its customers who are also Samsung lovers.
Fans opting to buy a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge any time from its retail channels in the first week of February (from the first to seventh of the month) will avail one year’s connection of Netflix free. It must be noted that the offer is applicable only for these two Samsung Galaxy models and cannot be availed on any other smartphone from the Korean manufacturer.
Buyers qualifying for the connection will receive a onetime use code that they will have to make use of by the end of March. Failing to do this, they will not be able to make use of the free offer. They will also have to follow a simple registration process with Samsung by the 21st of February on the website www.samsungpromotions.com/WinterNetflix. This includes providing the details asked for about your device and also uploading the purchase receipt of the gadget.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are available with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat on board. But, it must be noted that the smartphones being offered by T-Mobile are a step behind with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow loaded out of the box. However, the carrier leaves less room for disappointment and shows high chances of providing an upgrade because it has already begun the update testing process.
The dual partnership with T-Mobile and Netflix is just one of many instances adopted by Samsung to boost its sales of S7 and S7 Edge, especially after having gone through a bad phase in the recent past. Whether the sales will rise as high as the manufacturer wishes is to be waited and seen. This deal appears to be a strategy adopted by the mobile company to retain its buyers’ interests in flagship smartphones. Moreover, there is a bit of delay in bringing out the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship of the year to the public. Since the sales of the S8 are expected to commence only in April, customers will have to endure another two months wait before they can lay their hands on this device. Until then, Samsung must continue to captivate consumers’ interest in its smartphones with the sales of the previous year’s flagship smartphones by offering hard to resist incentives on them.
