The latest images of IPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus doing rounds have some amazing revelations to put across. Courtesy of NowhereElse, the leaked images once again confirm that the next iPhone flagships will come in with massive improvements in the camera area.
It is not the first time that rumors of an enhanced camera for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are showing up. However, the continued showcasing of possible iPhone designs with a larger camera compartment, as well as a dual camera setup, are only but confirming this aspect.
Speaking of design, Apple is not expected to make wholesale changes to the design of the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, especially with respect to last year’s iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. However, the leaks claim that the iPhone maker will go for redesigned antenna lines as well as the camera.
iPhone 7 Plus is expected to retain the same screen size of 5.5 inches, which was first featured on the 2014 iPhone 6 Plus. However, to further differentiate this phone from the smaller iPhone 7, the company will apparently be shipping the phablet with a dual-lens camera on board. In the past, the cameras of the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch variants have only been differentiated by the availability of OIS on the larger phone and not the smaller one. These differences are now taking a different route, with the dual camera setup reportedly meant for the 5.5-inch variant alone.
As for the smaller iPhone 7, there will also some camera upgrades. Although the rear snapper won’t see a dual-lens setup, the leaked images show that the camera module will be larger than previous offerings. The larger hole should point towards an upgraded camera for the 4.7-inch iPhone 7.
It gets even better as Apple will also be getting rid of the antenna lines that usually appear on the back of the phone. Instead, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will come with these lines on the edges of the chassis. There have been other reports surrounding the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack, but this has also not been confirmed in any capacity.
Apple will make the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus public this coming September, with official sales commencing towards the end of the same month. While OLED displays are expected to highlight the 2017 iPhone version, this year’s major highlight is definitely going to be the new camera setups.
