Nintendo Switch EB Games

Update: Nintendo Switch box arts and listing on EB Games confirmed to be fake. Daniel Vuckovic from Vooks confirmed it on his Twitter channel that the listings were uploaded using Webdev tools. The only thing we can do now is to wait for the official launch.

The Nintendo Switch is about to be unveiled in two weeks from now and an EB games listing confirmed Skyrim, Mario Kart 8 and Zelda heading to this new platform.

Once again, Nintendo is going the different route by not competing with the powerful PS4 Pro or the Xbox One S. Instead, the new Switch console is more of a handheld device which when docked at home becomes more powerful. The idea is something new that will make it easy for you to play AAA titles on the go and have a Wii like experience at home. The controllers are detachable allowing party games wherever you are.

Nintendo Switch Listings on EB

EB Games, the top game hardware and accessories seller listed the Nintendo Switch even before the official announcement. They have a placeholder price tag of $999 in Canadian Dollars. Each game is priced at $119.95 while a pro Switch controller costs $119.95 for the hardcore gamers. The pricing will drastically vary on launch and we can confirm it only when the official announcement is made.

Mario Kart 8, The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition and the Legend of Zelda Breath of the World are all found in the retailer’s page. With just twelve days to go, it is already being rumored that the console will be available by the month of February and pre-orders are bound to open as soon as the announcement is made. Nintendo never waits for Sony or Microsoft to make their move. Instead, they tread their own path and history will continue with the Switch console.

You can check out the box art and the size of the box packing they have used in the EB Games listing. Nintendo Life suggests that the brand is going away from their solid colors and has opted for square boxes which is now how they usually do. However, the card like boxes look compact and with the right case, it should be easy to carry the Nintendo Switch console wherever you go.Launch titles seem to be really less according to the listing. Mario Kart 8 features Battle Mode, 24 more tracks with 10 characters to choose from. We also expect Smash Bros on this promising platform. The company may have more titles ready to be showcased on launch date. Until then, it is difficult to predict how good the Nintendo Switch will be and we will hold our judgment for now.
