Latest rumors claim that the OnePlus 5 will be released by end of June and will be powered by Snapdragon 835.
Other smartphone manufacturers like Sony and Samsung have already launched their flagship devices running on the latest Snapdragon 835 processor. HTC has announced the HTC U11 powered by Snapdragon 835, on the 16th of May.
The OnePlus 5 is one of the most awaited smartphones for this year and according to Mocha RQ, a popular leakster, it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. He has also claimed that the OnePlus 5 will be released around the end of June this year.
Earlier, there were rumors that the OnePlus 5 would be coming with a 2K screen display feature. However, such a display can prove to be a heavy drain on the battery of the smartphone. According to Mocha RQ, the OnePlus 5 would, therefore, continue to come with the 5.5 inches screen and not a bigger one. The screen will offer support for a full HD screen resolution, following the precedent of the earlier OnePlus 3T.
Dual Rear Cameras
Mocha RQ, the well-knownleakster, also states that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will come with dual back camera features. According Kumamoto Technology, a Weibo source, the new OnePlus 5 will be sporting a dual back camera having a horizontal arrangement. There were other rumors recently claiming the dual setup for the rear cameras, but that they would be arranged vertically.
However, there were some leaked photographs last month, showing the horizontal arrangement of the dual back cameras. The samples of the leaked cameras suggest that the dual rear cameras of the OnePlus5 were used for taking the leaked pictures.
The details of longitude and latitude on the EXIF show that the pictures were taken in Shenzen in China. The OnePlus is based here and the device is being tested here as well. The blur on the second image has a blur, indicating a dual back camera setup.
Chipset and RAM
Earlier rumors about the OnePlus 5 also suggested that it would come with the Snapdragon 835 processor and this would be combined with a RAM of 8 GB. However, a RAM of 8 GB will mean an increase in the production cost for the company. It was therefore concluded later by the sources that the OnePlus 5 would come with a lower RAM of 6 GB. It will also come with storage of 128 GB.
Battery and Other Features
There are also leaks speculating that the OnePlus 5 will come with a fingerprint reader that is facing the front of the device and it will probably be embedded beneath the display screen.
As for the battery, there is speculation that the battery of the OnePlus 5 will be powered at 3600 mAh. The charging capabilities for the upcoming flagship device will be around 25% faster than before. As far as the 3.5 mm, audio jack is concerned; there is no news on whether it will be retained or get the axe.
