OnePlus 3 and 3T Getting another Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA Update with OxygenOS 4.1.1

OnePlus 3T

Over a week ago, OnePlus 3 and 3T started receiving the updated Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA update that brought with it a new OxygenOS 4.1.0 for non-beta users of the phones.

Now, in another swift move, the Chinese OEM has started rolling out a new update that doesn’t change a thing about the status of the installed Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, but it bumps the version of the OxygenOS to v4.1.1. As you may have noticed, this is a small increment and as such, there shouldn’t be a lot to expect from this latest update on your OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T handset.

As expected, this is just an incremental update that will give your device a new life in terms of improved performance and bug fixes. Among the improvements that OnePlus 3 and 3T users will be enjoying include better pictures even when captured in motion thanks to the reduced blur, enhanced video stability when recording, better Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as fixes to bugs that were affecting the Instagram app, hardware buttons and other general bugs discovered in the original version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA.

OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

Since both OnePlus 3 and 3T users will be receiving this update as an OTA, not all units will be updated at once. Instead, the OTA will be rolling out gradually, meaning that it might take up to the end of this week or even early next week before all units are finally updated to OxygenOS 4.1.1. Alternatively, you can get the update manually by heading to your phone’s Settings>Abut phone>System updates>Check for updates. This will ensure that you download the new update on your phone well ahead of those who are waiting for the OTA notification to arrive.
