OnePlus 3 Photos Leak, iPhone 6S-like Design in the Making

OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3 has been on the rumor mill for quite some time now and as it seems, the device is going to keep the amazing looks that have propelled the company’s name in a tight market.

Coming to succeed the magnificent OnePlus 2, the phone is expected to feature a stunning design and powerful, state-of-the-art hardware and software specs. As it seems, the design aspect is even going to get better, with the latest leaks showing a device that closely resembles the likes of iPhone 6S and the recently released HTC 10.

It has become a common thing for smartphone makers to turn to iPhone-like designs as far as their flagships are concerned. We have seen this happen with the likes of Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi, with the latter going further to be nicknamed “the Apple of China” in its home country.

The latest leaked image of the OnePlus 3 comes from a famous figure in the tech world – Evan Blass – and it reveals some interesting bits of information. It is easy to believe what Blass has to offer, especially when we look at his track record when it comes to providing leaks of devices yet to be released.

The images show a slim design that features a metallic finish, something that is very close to the iPhone 6S. It goes further to show off the rear antenna design and placement of the rear snapper, which when observed keenly, will reveal a resemblance to the newly released HTC 10. There is a physical home button that will probably come with a fingerprint sensor. The phone will also include a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In his post, Blass also confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 3 will pack an AMOLED display unit and a 3000mAh battery capacity. As for the rest of the specs, it is believed that the flagship will come with a 5.5-inch display unit and under the hood it will feature the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC, an Adreno 530 graphics unit and a RAM of 4GB. Buyers of this device will probably have more than one storage option to choose from – a 32GB variant and a premium 64GB variant. In fact, there are rumors that the latter variant might pack more RAM, featuring a 6GB chip.

The device will reportedly include a 16MP rear snapper, 8MP selfie camera and will be powered by the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Even though Blass mentioned nothing about the release date, word has it that the OnePlus 3 will be here by the end of this month, or maybe early next month.
