OnePlus 3T Gunmetal (64GB) available for Immediate Shipping beginning Jan. 24th

OnePlus 3T

OnePlus 3 and its successor OnePlus 3T are two of the most exciting smartphones that graced the year 2016 – a year that was full of mixed performances from different smartphone OEMs.

The company first released the OnePlus 3 – a phone that came in with a great design, flagship hardware specs and features, but was available at a price similar to what you’d pay for a midrange phone. When OnePlus 3T was released, the hardware specs and features on offer were slightly upped, but the design language was retained. With these few changes, the price of the 3T shifted upwards, but at $439, it was still far much cheaper than the Samsung Galaxys, Apple iPhones and Google Pixels of this world.

As a result of this great price-specs combination, the demand of the OnePlus 3T exceeded the company’s expectations, leading to unexpected shipping delays of the phone. Some people had to wait for weeks or even months before they could finally get their hands on a OnePlus flagship, something that got many frustrated. While the pre-order program was somehow meant to ease the frustrations of OnePlus fans, this hasn’t helped at all when it comes to reducing the phone’s delivery time.

Now, according to the Chinese OEM, their main focus this 2017 will be to improve on the delivery times of their phones. To kick off this process, the company will be selling the gunmetal variant of the OnePlus 3T (64GB) available on an immediate dispatch starting January 24th, which is this week Tuesday. This change affects those who will be buying the phone from North America and the EU region, but the company doesn’t promise that this offer will be here forever, although it’s a major target.

Apart from the color change, there is nothing different the gunmetal variant of OnePlus 3T comes with that you haven’t seen on other models. The specs remain unchanged, boasting a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 6GB RAM, 64GB of non-expandable storage and is powered by Android Marshmallow out of the box, but an OTA update to Android 7.0 Nougat has already been released. The back and front shooters have 16MP lenses while the battery unit has a capacity of 3400mAh with support for fast charging.
