OnePlus is making amends for neglecting OnePlus 2, OnePlus X users in India

OnePlus 2

India is not only OnePlus’ best market, but it’s one of the best markets for all smartphone vendors across the globe, including Apple and Google.

While some people may have labeled OnePlus an Indian company, the Chinese OEM is doing little to disprove these claims. In an attempt that will perhaps leave the neglected OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X lot feeling more than happy, OnePlus wants to celebrate its 3rd anniversary in the country in style.

The company recently launched a OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition and even though the initial release will take place in India, other markets will also join the party sooner or later, including Europe. The limited edition 5T will start selling on December 15 following its official launch the previous day. This day, December 15th, is also the same date that the Star Wars: The Last Jedi edition will premier in theaters and to make sure that the day is as perfect as it can be, OnePlus India has 10,000 tickets to give away to its fans.

The promotion covers up to nine cities in India, namely Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. The tickets will be availed in two phases via the official OnePlus website and Paytm – December 13 and December 15.

While those using OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X might be justified to feel that the company has cast them aside as far as software updates are concerned, the latest promo does factor them in. Apparently, anyone who has purchased a OnePlus device over the last three years will be eligible for this offer. However, you must first register your phone’s IMEI number, pick a city and time that is suitable for you to watch the movie. When done, OnePlus will send you a ticket code which can be redeemed on Paytm and earn you a free ticket.

OnePlus is also opening pop-up stores in the said nine cities, allowing fans to go hands-on with the newly launched OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition.

As noted, OnePlus is only giving away 10,000 tickets. This means that the demand will be massive, beginning with the first batch that will be available on December 13 as from 10AM. To be safe, you better register your OnePlus device right away, at least if you haven’t done so already. To register, hit the source link below.
