The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is the top-end smartphone by Oppo in the Find X8 series, the other two handsets being the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.
A new leak has now emerged confirming the existence of the Find X8 Ultra along with its codename. The leak also hints at the processor, camera, and screen of the smartphone.
Codename, Screen, Camera, and Processor
According to a recent Weibo post by Digital Chat Station, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will be associated with the codename Everest. The leak also specifically mentions that the smartphone will have noteworthy specifications. The handset is also tipped to feature a 2K display and a silicon-carbide battery resulting in a large capacity. Additionally, it is slated to house two periscope cameras and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Expected Oppo Find X8 Ultra Specifications
Following earlier leaks, the smartphone reportedly has an X2 LTPO OLED display from BOE. This display has a size of 6.82 inches, a micro-quad-curved design, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Find X8 Ultra is anticipated to sport a quad-camera setup on its rear panel. These four snappers will be a Sony LYT900 main camera with a 50 MP resolution and a Sony IMX 882 ultra-wide shooter with a resolution of 50 MP along with two periscope telephoto cameras. The dual periscope telephoto snappers will each have a resolution of 50 MP and be Sony LYT 701 and Sony IMX 882 sensors with zoom capabilities between 3x zoom and 6x zoom.
The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro were initially launched in China and had a global release later. The Find X8 Ultra is speculated to arrive in China in 2025 after the Lunar New Year. It is doubtful whether the handset will have a worldwide, especially after a post on the manufacturer’s UK social media handle, which was later deleted, claimed there would not be a global release.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is likely to compete with various flagships including the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Vivo X200 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Honor Magic 7 Ultimate.
